One Prayer at a Time - The Power of Praying Spouses
(a combination of The Power of a Praying Husband and The Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian)

Don't be overwhemeled by the many ways there are to pray for your spouse.  It is not necessary to do all prayers  in one day, simply take it one day and one prayer at a time.  It is not to be said how much you should pray for your spouse but the Bible says that "he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully" (2 Corinthians 9:6).  The more you pray the more  benefits you will reap.  Prayer changes all things!

                                                His Fatherhood
                                                             (a prayer for your Husband)

Lord, teach my husband to be a good father.  Where it was not modeled to him according to Your ways, heal those areas and help him to forgive his dad.  Give him revelation of You and a hunger in his heart to really know You as his heavenly Father.  Draw him close to spend time in Your presence so he can become more like You, and fully understand Your Father's heart of compassion and love toward him.  Grow the same heart in him for his children.  Help him to balance mercy, judgement, and instruction the way You do.  though You require obedience, you are quick to acknowledge a repentant heart.  Make him that way, too.  Show him when to discipline and how.  Help him to see that he who loves his child disciplines him promptly(Proverbs 13:24).  May he never provoke his "children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4).  I pray we will be united in the rules we set for our children and be in full agreement as to how they are raised.  I pray that there will be no strife or argument over how to handle them and the issues that surround their lives.
Give him skills of communication with his children.  I pray he will not be stern, hard, cruel, cold, abusive, noncommunicative, passive, critical, weak, uninterested, neglectful, undependable, or uninvolved.  Help him instead to be kind, loving, soft-hearted, warm, interested, affirming, affectionate, involved, strong, consistent, dependable, verbally communicative, understanding, and patient.  May he require and inspire his children to honor him as their father so that their lives will be long and blessed.
Lord, I know we pass a spiritual inheritance to our children.  Let the heritage he passes on be one rich in the fullness of Your Holy Spirit.  Enable him to model clearly a walk of submission to Your laws.  Mey he delight in his children and long to grow them up Your way.  Being a good father is something he wants very much.  I pray that You would give him the desire of his heart.
Power Tools:

                 Her Motherhood
( a prayer for your Wife)

Lord, I pray that You will help my wife to be the best mother to our children (child) that she can be. Give her strength, and help her to understand that she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her (Phillipians 4:13).  Give her patience, kindness, gentleness, and discernment.  Guard her tongue so that the words she speaks will build up and not tear down, will bring life and not destruction.  Guide her as she makes decisions regarding each child.  By the authority You have given me, as a believer as well as a husband and father, I break any rebellion or stronghold in our children (child) (Luke 10:19).  Specifically I lift up my children (child).  I bring before You my concern about (name any area of concern that you have for that child).
Lord, I know we cannot successfully raise our children without you. So I ask that You would take the burden of raising them from our shoulders and partner with us to bring them up.  Give my wife and me patience, strength, and wisdom to train, teach, discipline, and care for each child.  Help us to understand each child's needs and know how to meet them.  Give us discernment about what we allow into the home through TV, books, movies, video games, magazines, and computer activities.  Give us revelation and the ability to see what we need to see.  Show us Your perspective on each child's uniqueness and potential greatness.  Give us a balance between being overprotective and allowing our children to experience life too early.
If we, being evil, know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more will You, our heavenly Father, give good things to us when we ask it of You (Matthew 7:11).  So I ask You for the gifts of intelligence, strength, talent, wisdom, and godliness to be in our children.  Keep them safe from any accident, disease, or evil influence.  may no plan of the enemy suceed in their lives.  Help us to raise our children (child) to be obedient and respectful to both of is and to have a heart to follow You and Your Word.  I pray that my wife will fins fulfillment, contentment, and joy as a mother, while never losing sight of who she is in You.
 Power Tools:
Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praised her.

Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord.  Lift your hands toward Him for the life of your young children.  LAMENTATIONS 2:19
